Community leadership

We invest in the long term and bring people and organizations together, convening diverse voices to address local issues and opportunities. Our business is building community through grants that work today and gifts that last forever.

Leadership Redding

Leadership Redding fosters a vibrant community by building a well-informed, involved citizenry. Through education and encouragement to action, Leadership Redding offers individuals the opportunity to develop themselves as community leaders.

Leadership Redding began in 1985 with the first class inaugurated in 1986. Today Leadership Redding is a program of the Shasta Regional Community Foundation.

The program accepts approximately 30 participants per year. Ten sessions and a workshop are held September through May, facilitated by program alumni, in which a focus is placed on a specific part of the community. At these sessions, the participants learn directly from leaders in that area and have a chance to expand their knowledge about their community.

Leadership Redding accepts applications to participate in the program year round.  To apply for the Class of 2013 submit your application by March 31, 2013.
